Is Helpar my employer?
No. You run your own cleaning business. You choose your clients, set your prices and decide when you work. Helpar is the app clients use to find and book you.
What does it cost to join?
Nothing. Helpar charges the client a separate booking fee, so nothing comes out of your rate. During the launch, Helpar also covers the identity and background checks shown on your profile.
How do I get paid?
Clients pay through the app and the money goes to your own Stripe account. Helpar never holds your money.
What do I need to get started?
You need to be 18 or older, have government photo ID and a bank account for payouts. You’ll set up your profile, services and rates in the app before you go live.
I run a cleaning company. Can I join?
Yes. Choose “Cleaning company” when you sign up. Each member of your team completes their own checks, and you decide who goes to each booking.
Where is Helpar launching?
Calgary and Edmonton first. Join with the postal code you work from and we’ll email you when you can set up your profile.
